Background

The Iowa Department of Agriculture & Land Stewardship, Division of Soil Conservation and Water Quality is issuing a Request for Bids (RFB) for the construction of a Nutrient Reduction Wetland in Chickasaw County. The project aims to enhance water quality through the establishment of wetlands that reduce nutrient runoff. Work Details

The work involves selective clearing, excavation and grading, sheet pile installation, tile and outlet structures, riprap placement, and seeding. Specific quantities include approximately: - 25,970 cubic yards (CY) of earthwork - 600 square feet (SF) of sheet pile installation - 425 tons (TN) of riprap with 8 CY of grout - 86 linear feet (LF) of CMP pipe - 1.10 acres (AC) of structure seeding - 18.90 AC of buffer seeding. The project also includes site stripping and preparation, pollution control measures, silt fence installation, mobilization and demobilization, tile investigation, and various earthfill tasks. Construction will commence within 7 days following the preconstruction meeting.

Non-Iowa corporations must provide proof of authorization by the Secretary of State to do business in Iowa.
