Delivered Aggregate Wythe & Grayson

Background

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is soliciting bids from qualified firms to furnish, deliver, and stockpile various types of aggregate on an as-needed basis at Area Headquarters for Wythe and Grayson Counties within the Wytheville Residency. This contract aims to ensure a reliable supply of aggregate materials necessary for transportation infrastructure projects in these counties.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for providing the following services: 1. Supply various types of aggregate from a VDOT pre-approved plant/quarry listed on Approved List #5 prior to contract award. 2. Deliver materials measured in 'Short Tons' (2,000 lbs.) at a firm unit price that includes transport and delivery to specified sites. 3. Maintain an adequate stock of materials to ensure prompt delivery service throughout the contract duration. 4. Accept orders placed by VDOT on an as-needed basis and fulfill minimum order requirements for FOB delivery. 5. Provide printed load tickets for each delivery indicating weight or volume, and obtain signed delivery confirmation at the time of delivery.

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence on August 19, 2026, and conclude on August 18, 2027. This contract is non-renewable.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed in Wythe and Grayson Counties, Virginia.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must submit a Small Business Subcontracting Plan (SBSP) if not certified as a small business by the Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity by the bid closing date. Additionally, bidders must register with eVA and comply with all applicable laws regarding business operations in Virginia.
