Background The Norfolk Naval Shipyard is issuing this contract to provide technical services for troubleshooting, repairs, and operational testing on the RIX Technologies Model MARC 350B Low Pressure Air Plant Compressor #8 onboard a Ford Class Naval Ship during the FY 26 Periodic Incremental Availability (PIA). The contract aims to address an identified injection water pressure failure on LPAP #8, which has undergone multiple unsuccessful troubleshooting efforts by the Ship’s Force and ISEA. The goal is to engage OEM support for effective troubleshooting, repair, and testing of the compressor. Work Details The contractor will perform the following tasks: - Conduct troubleshooting and repairs on LPAP #8 related to injection water pressure faults; - Execute a full load operational test on LPAP #8 after repairs; - Promptly notify Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) of any materials or components that need replacement during troubleshooting; - Provide a Contractor Furnished Report (CFR) for any additional work identified during testing; - Maintain Level II Cleanliness on relevant systems; - Attend necessary meetings with NNSY personnel; - Provide weekly updates via email regarding project status. The contractor must also ensure compliance with safety regulations and cleanliness standards as outlined in various NAVSEA Standard Items. Period of Performance The period of performance for this contract is from August 1, 2026, to February 28, 2027. Place of Performance Norfolk Naval Shipyard (NNSY) onboard vessel CVN 78. Bidder Requirements Bidders must be the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) for the RIX Technologies Model MARC 350B Low Pressure Air Plant compressor. All contractor personnel are required to obtain access through the Defense Biometric Identification System (DBIDS) and must have a security clearance of Confidential – Red Badge due to potential access to classified information. Contractors must also adhere to Federal OSHA requirements for hazardous energy control and maintain cleanliness standards as specified in NAVSEA guidelines.
