Background

The Pamunkey Regional Jail is undertaking a roofing project to install a new roofing system at the facility. The project aims to recover the existing roof system and includes all associated work as required by the contract documents. The project is overseen by RRMM Architects, PC, located in Richmond, Virginia.

Work Details

The project involves providing all labor, materials, equipment, and incidental services necessary for the installation of a new roofing system. Key components of the work include: 1. Removal and replacement of existing wet insulation and compromised roofing. 2. In-fill with new insulation. 3. Removal and replacement of existing expansion joints, flashings, metal edges, and associated trim. 4. Repair of the existing modified bitumen (MB) system with new materials. 5. Preparation of the existing MB roof system. 6. Installation of a new fleece back TPO membrane directly adhered to the existing MB in a splatter pattern of adhesive. 7. Installation and re-installation of all equipment and building components in compliance with applicable federal, state, and local building codes.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed while the owner occupies the site during the entire construction period.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at Pamunkey Regional Jail located at 7240 Courtland Farm Road, Hanover, Virginia 23069.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local building codes and OSHA regulations. The contractor is responsible for securing all necessary permits from governmental bodies.
