SCSD Chromebook Project

The Smith County Board of Education is seeking bids for the acquisition of Chromebooks as part of the SCSD Chromebook Project. The work of this contract includes the supply and delivery of Chromebooks in accordance with the specifications provided in the official bid documents. These Chromebooks will support the educational needs of the Smith County School District in Raleigh, Mississippi. Bids will be received through an Electronic Reverse Auction Process, which will be administered by Central Bidding. The auction is scheduled for Thursday, July 9th, 2026, beginning at 10:00 AM CST. Bidding will continue until all suppliers have completed entering their bids. To participate, official bid documents must be downloaded from Central Bidding at www.centralbidding.com. Electronic bids and reverse auction bids are to be submitted exclusively through this website. For questions regarding the electronic bidding process, please contact Central Bidding at 225-810-4814. When requesting documents via email, please include your company name, email address, telephone numbers, and a contact person. Email requests will be fulfilled within 24 hours of submission or registration. Specification responses (without pricing information) must be submitted through Central Bidding by 10:00 AM CST on Tuesday, July 7th, 2026, in order to be considered for this opportunity. Only approved bidders will receive email notifications confirming their eligibility to participate in the reverse auction. Important: Do not include pricing information with your specification response. Bids will only be accepted online at the appointed date and time of the reverse auction. The contract will be awarded to the lowest and best bid. However, the Smith County Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities. The Smith County School District also reserves the right to utilize an anti-sniping feature during the reverse auction. This tool will automatically extend the bid time by five (5) minutes if a vendor places a bid in the final five (5) minutes of the auction.
