Work of the Contract

The project involves the following primary tasks: - Installation of new electric feeders and manholes. - Installation of new electric switchgear and air-cooled transformers in twenty (20) electric rooms within various building locations. - Decommissioning and removal of the existing electric substation. - Hazardous materials abatement as part of the overall work. Who is Requesting: This solicitation is issued by the State University Construction Fund (SUCF).

Background on the Contract

This is a single bid project focused on upgrading the electrical distribution system at Binghamton University. The project aims to modernize the campus electrical infrastructure by replacing outdated equipment and improving safety and reliability.

Contract Requirements

- All bidders must demonstrate skill, experience, and financial qualifications as outlined in Information to Bidders, Section 7 of the project specifications. - Subcontracting is allowed under Section 2.18 of the SUCF Agreement. - Principal subcontractors must be named within 48 hours after the bid opening, per Information for Bidders Section 8. - Bidders are required to submit, within 48 hours, either certification of their NYS VendRep questionnaire (preferred) or a signed and notarized paper CCA2 form (Version 3/22 only), Attachments A, B, and C, Appendix A form, work descriptions, and a preliminary project schedule.

Instructions on Submission

- Plans will be available after June 16, 2026, through Dataflow (607-772-2001 & www.nyplanroom.com ). - A project walk-through is scheduled for June 23, 2026, at 9:00 A.M. at the Binghamton University Physical Facilities Building, Conference Room C.
