Engleville Road Bridge Replacement over West Creek

Background

Schoharie County is issuing a contract for the replacement of the Engleville Road Bridge over West Creek. The project aims to enhance infrastructure and ensure safe passage over the bridge, aligning with the county's commitment to maintaining and improving public roadways.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the following tasks: 1. Replacement of the Engleville Road Bridge with new 75'-0" clear span precast concrete three-sided units. 2. Reconstruction of the approach roadway approximately 200 feet south of the bridge and 250 feet north of the bridge. 3. Installation of new steel bridge railing and transition bridge railing. The work includes providing all labor, materials, machinery, tools, equipment, and other means necessary for construction as detailed in the plans and specifications.

Period of Performance

The work will be substantially completed by November 19, 2027, and completed and ready for final payment on December 31, 2027.

Bidder Requirements

This project has no stated M/WBE goals or DBE goals. However, it is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) project with a goal of 0%. Bidders must comply with NYSDOT Standard Specifications finalized on May 1, 2026. All bidders must include completed Bid Form, Non-Collusive Bidding and Disbarment Certifications, and Lobbying Certifications. Performance and Payment Bonds are required for an amount not less than 100% of the accepted bid.
