2027-2032 Cafeteria Services in Essex County

Background

The New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) is seeking qualified contractors to provide cafeteria services at the Gerald B. Edwards Training Center in Port Henry, NY. The goal of this contract is to ensure that program participants receive nutritious meals and snacks that comply with USDA and state health regulations.

Work Details

The contractor will provide noontime meals and two snacks daily for 18 program participants. Services must meet USDA requirements and comply with the New York State Sanitary Code, Department of Health, and OPWDD standards. The contractor is also responsible for providing dining tables, chairs, service wares, adaptive equipment, and any other necessary items for participant use and serving.

Period of Performance

The contract term is from April 1, 2027, through March 31, 2032.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at the Gerald B. Edwards Training Center located at 10 St. Patrick Place, Port Henry, NY 12974 in Essex County.

Bidder Requirements

Contractors must have at least three years of relevant experience and provide references to verify this experience. They must comply with all local, state, and federal laws governing cafeteria services. Insurance coverage is required including workers' compensation and liability insurance with specified minimum limits. The contractor may not subcontract services without prior written approval from OPWDD.
