Leaf Disposal Services

Background

The Village of Lisle is seeking bids from qualified firms to provide leaf disposal services. The goal of this contract is to ensure the effective collection, hauling, and disposal of leaves collected by the Village's Public Works Department. This initiative aligns with the Village's commitment to maintaining public spaces and ensuring environmental sustainability.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, equipment, supplies, and incidentals necessary for the pick-up, hauling away, and disposal of leaves collected by the Village of Lisle Public Works Department. The services must include: 1. Collection of leaves from designated sites as specified in the bid documents. 2. Hauling away the collected leaves to a disposal site approved by the Village. 3. Compliance with all applicable local, state, and federal regulations regarding waste disposal. The base bid includes a quantity estimate of 5,000 cubic yards (CY) for disposal and hauling of leaves.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence on December 7, 2026, and conclude on April 30, 2027. There are options for three additional one-year renewals at the discretion of the Village.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed within the geographic boundaries of the Village of Lisle, Illinois.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must submit a certified check or bid bond equal to 5% of the bid amount. All work under this contract is subject to the Illinois Prevailing Wage Act. Bidders are required to provide proof of insurance coverage as specified in the contract documents and must not have been debarred or determined ineligible for public contracts by any governmental agency.
