Background

Weslaco Independent School District (ISD) is seeking proposals for Voluntary Employee Insurance Benefits Products to enhance their employee benefits offerings. The goal of this contract is to provide a range of voluntary insurance options that meet the needs of the district's employees, thereby supporting their overall well-being and financial security.

Work Details

The selected contractor will provide various voluntary insurance products including:

Whole Life Insurance

- Voluntary Life Insurance with Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) coverage. Each product must include detailed coverage options and premium rates. Proposals must also include information on claims processing, in-network providers in Hidalgo County, and any additional services that support the administration of these benefits.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon award and is expected to last for one year with potential renewals based on performance and mutual agreement.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed primarily at Weslaco ISD facilities located in Weslaco, Texas.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide proof of current insurance certificates, complete required compliance forms, and submit a narrative detailing their company history, leadership team experience, financial capacity, and how they plan to assist Weslaco ISD if awarded the contract. Additionally, bidders must have experience providing voluntary insurance products to school districts in Texas.
