Brunswick Fire Department - Emerson Station Parking Lot Resurfacing

Background

The Town of Brunswick, Maine, through its Engineering Department, is issuing a solicitation for the resurfacing of the Emerson Fire Station parking lot. The project aims to rehabilitate the existing parking lot to ensure safety and functionality for the fire station's operations.

Work Details

The scope of work includes furnishing and installing all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to rehabilitate the existing parking lot. This involves overlaying the existing parking lot and drive aisle with 1.25 inches of 9.5mm Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) and restriping the parking lot to match the existing configuration. The front parking lot is approximately 5,300 square feet, the back parking lot is approximately 14,100 square feet, and the access aisle is approximately 8,200 square feet. Major quantities of work include: - 260 tons of 9.5mm HMA - 65 gallons of tack coat - 280 linear feet of striping - 170 square yards of pavement butt joints.

Period of Performance

The work is to commence within ten (10) days after contract signing and must be completed by September 18, 2026.

The work will be performed at Emerson Fire Station located in Brunswick, Maine.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide a bid security in the form of a bid bond amounting to five percent (5%) of the total bid price unless the project bid price is below $250,000. All proposals must be submitted on the official Proposal Form provided in the Contract Documents.
