Vending Machine and Micro-Market Services

Background

Montgomery County is seeking qualified companies with experience in vending and micro-market operations to install, operate, supply, and service vending machines and micro-markets for various county buildings. The goal of this contract is to provide efficient and sanitary vending services while ensuring a high percentage of commission paid to Montgomery County.

Work Details

The successful bidder will be responsible for: 1. Obtaining all necessary licenses and permits. 2. Complying with all federal, state, and local laws. 3. Operating a vending system that includes furnishing all food, supplies, equipment, management, and labor necessary for efficient operation. 4. Maintaining and servicing all machines to ensure they are functional, clean, sanitary, and pest-free. 5. Keeping machines stocked with fresh, quality brand-name products and removing expired products within ten days of stocking. 6. Inspecting machines weekly for food quality and servicing them every ten days or as needed. 7. Responding to service requests within 24 hours and providing replacements for machines that cannot be repaired within 48 hours at no cost to Montgomery County. 8. Providing a visible decal on each machine with a customer service phone number available during business hours.

Period of Performance

The contract period will be for three years beginning from the date of award.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at various county buildings in Montgomery County, Alabama.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide documentation evidencing required insurance coverage, enrollment in the E-Verify program, and performance/payment bonds within ten calendar days after award notification. Bidders having a place of business within Montgomery County will receive a 5% preference over those outside the county.
