Storm Drainage Improvements Shannon Pond

Background

The City of Albany, Georgia, is seeking bids for the construction of an underground drainage force main system at Shannon Pond. The project aims to alleviate existing drainage issues in the area. Work Details

The work includes the installation of approximately 1,490 linear feet of 8-inch HDPE force main pipe, two stormwater pump station connection structures, one stormwater pump station discharge structure, and all associated work necessary for the completion of the project. This includes demolition, horizontal drilling, and erosion and sedimentation control. All work must conform to project specifications and other contract documents.

Period of Performance

The contract must be completed within 120 calendar days following the issuance of the Notice to Proceed.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must submit a bid bond equal to at least 5% of their bid amount. A 100% Performance Bond and a 100% Labor and Materials Payment Bond will be required from the awarded bidder. Contractors must possess a City of Albany Occupational Tax Certificate or Registration prior to commencement of work. Additionally, bidders are required to comply with all applicable laws, codes, ordinances, and regulations.
