Law Enforcement Motorcycles

Background

Montgomery County is seeking bids for the procurement of two new Honda NT1100 Police Motorcycles. The motorcycles are intended for use in law enforcement, traffic enforcement, patrol operations, escort duties, and special events. The goal is to acquire vehicles suitable for sustained daily law enforcement use and manufactured by American Honda Motor Co., Inc.

Work Details

The contract includes the provision of two (2) new Honda NT1100 Police Motorcycles equipped for law enforcement purposes. Bidders must provide a unit price that includes all applicable charges such as destination charges, delivery charges, title fees, and rebates. Specific requirements include: - Engine: 1084cc liquid-cooled parallel-twin four-stroke with a six-speed manual transmission. - Brakes: Dual radial-mounted 310mm hydraulic discs with ABS. - Tires: OEM-approved tires suitable for high-speed law enforcement use.

Electrical System

Must support emergency lighting and communication equipment.

Police Equipment

Bidders must provide itemized pricing for police-specific equipment including LED emergency lights, engine guards, locking hard cases, and other accessories. - Warranty: Full manufacturer warranty from American Honda Motor Co., Inc. and warranties on all emergency equipment.

Period of Performance

The delivery of the motorcycles must occur as soon as possible after receipt of order but no later than September 25, 2026.

Place of Performance

Delivery will be made to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office located at 115 South Perry Street, Montgomery, AL 36104.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must submit a copy of a current City of Montgomery business license and Montgomery County business license if required by law. Additionally, bidders must provide proof of required insurance coverage and E-Verify documentation within ten calendar days of receiving notification of award.
