Background

The District Energy Corporation (DEC) is a Nebraska nonprofit corporation focused on providing energy solutions. They are seeking bids for the installation of a multistack upgrade reversing valve to enhance the functionality of their existing heat pump units, originally installed in 2012, at the County Adult Detention Facility Thermal Energy Facility located in Lincoln, Nebraska.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary to complete the following tasks: 1. Allocate one hour for a mandatory project coordination meeting with DEC and a Multistack OEM field service representative. 2. Install twenty (20) current-version OEM reversing valve upgrade kits in two heat pump units (Model Number MS70X6H1R0-R410A). This includes: - Five (5) Side A reversing valves (OEM part number VALVEKITMR70XA) per heat pump unit (10 total). - Five (5) Side B reversing valves (OEM part number VALVEKITMR70XB) per heat pump unit (10 total). 3. Charge each circuit with nitrogen and perform a leak check, making necessary repairs if the leak check fails. 4. After passing the leak check, evacuate nitrogen and weigh the nameplate charge of 20 lbs of R410a. Note that refrigerant evacuation will be handled by an OEM field service provider under a separate contract.

Period of Performance

The work is expected to take place during normal working hours, Monday through Friday between 7:30 AM and 4:00 PM. Specific completion dates must align with project coordination requirements.

Place of Performance

All work will be performed at the DEC’s County Adult Detention Facility Thermal Energy Facility located at 330 SW 40th Street, Lincoln, NE 68508.
