Provision of Exterminating Services on an Annual Contract

Background

The Gwinnett County Board of Commissioners is seeking competitive sealed bids from qualified service providers for the Provision of Exterminating Services on an Annual Contract. This contract includes four one-year options to renew and will serve various Gwinnett County Departments. The goal is to ensure comprehensive pest control services across multiple facilities within the county.

Work Details

The contract requires comprehensive Preventative Maintenance (PM) pest control services, including treatment of all interior areas and the exterior perimeter of buildings. Specific areas include public entrances, restrooms, janitorial closets, storerooms, break rooms/kitchens, and offices at various County facilities. The service must cover all pests including:

Crawling Insects

ants, roaches, silverfish, spiders, earwigs, centipedes, millipedes, beetles.

Flying Insects

flies, mosquitoes, wasps, gnats, yellow jackets. - Rodents: mice and rats.

Wood Destroying Organisms

termites (subterranean & drywood) and carpenter bees.

Nuisance Wildlife

squirrels, raccoons, birds, bats (covered under On Demand services).

Bed Bug Control

treatment billed by room and square foot. The service provider will also conduct inspections for termites upon request and provide treatment logs for all services performed. Emergency response time for callbacks is expected within 24 hours.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon award and will be effective for one year with options to renew for four additional one-year terms.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at various locations throughout Gwinnett County as specified in the bid document.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with specific regulations including those set forth by the Structural Pest Control Act (State of Georgia), Federal Insecticide Act (FIFRA), Occupational Safety and Health Act of 1970, and Georgia Pesticide Use and Application Act. Additionally, successful bidders must provide Material Safety Data Sheets for all products used and adhere to background check requirements for personnel working in secure facilities.
