The Gila River Indian Community's Department of Public Works (DPW) is seeking qualified firms or individuals to provide on-call engineering design services for various water and wastewater treatment projects throughout the Community. The goal of this Request for Qualifications (RFQL-0646-DPW) is to enable potential firms to prepare and submit a Statement of Qualifications (SOQ) for consideration.
The selected engineering consultant will provide design and consulting services for water and wastewater treatment facilities, including: 1. Preliminary Design: Consulting with the Community, performing pre-design studies, preparing Preliminary Design Documents, and providing an Engineer’s Cost Estimate. 2. Final Design: Preparing Final Design Drawings and Technical Specifications, assisting in bid preparation, obtaining governmental approvals, and furnishing Final Design Documents. 3. Bidding Phase: Assisting in reviewing bids, advising on subcontractors and materials, and evaluating bids. 4. Construction Phase: Serving as the Community's representative during construction, coordinating activities, making site visits, conducting inspections, reviewing applications for payment, and preparing record drawings. Additional engineering services may be required as authorized by the Community.
The contract period will commence upon execution of an Agreement and terminate three years from execution unless amended or terminated. The Community has the option to renew the agreement for two additional one-year periods.
The work will be performed within the Gila River Indian Community located in Central Arizona across Maricopa and Pinal Counties.
Firms must comply with all applicable laws of the Gila River Indian Community and U.S., including obtaining a business license per GRIC Code Title 13 Chapter 2. Preference will be given to Native American firms as per Title 12 Chapter 4 provisions. Firms must also provide evidence of insurance coverage as specified in the RFQL.
