Ignition Interlock Device Program

Background

The Ohio Department of Public Safety (ODPS) is responsible for ensuring public safety through various programs, including the Ignition Interlock Device (IID) Program. This contract aims to oversee the compliance and inspection of IID installers across the State of Ohio, ensuring that they meet state regulations and standards.

Work Details

The Contractor will perform the following tasks under the Ignition Interlock Device Program: 1. Schedule and travel to IID installer sites for inspections. 2. Submit completed inspection reports into a designated database. 3. Provide monthly activity reports as prescribed by the OTSO Program Manager or designee. 4. Assist in data submission for state and federal reporting requirements. 5. Coordinate and attend meetings with IID manufacturers and installers as necessary. 6. Respond to inquiries related to IID operations. 7. Submit detailed monthly invoices for approval by the OTSO Program Manager or designee. The Contractor will be compensated at a flat rate of $41.00 per hour, with total compensation not exceeding $22,000.

Period of Performance

The contract will be effective from July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed throughout the State of Ohio.

Bidder Requirements

The Independent Contractor must comply with all applicable federal, state, and local laws during the performance of this Agreement and is responsible for maintaining their own workers' compensation coverage. The Contractor must also ensure that any subcontractors maintain similar insurance coverage.
