Sale of Scrap metal

Work Requested

The School Board of Osceola County, FL is seeking a vendor to provide comprehensive services for the sale and removal of miscellaneous scrap metal. The selected vendor will be responsible for: - Supplying and maintaining containers at four (4) designated School Board locations. - Providing pick-up services for individual and construction sites that may not have containers. - Properly picking up and disposing of all scrap metal as required by the School Board. - Paying the School Board for each ton, or portion thereof, of scrap metal collected, based on the published Atlanta price for Nonferrous Scrap - Mixed Clips in the American Metal Market (AMM) price index on the day of each pick-up.

Contract Requirements

- The bid price must be stated as either a percentage discount off or a percentage markup above the AMM price index. - All charges including container rental, additional equipment, labor, and travel expenses must be included in the bid price. - The awarded vendor must issue payment by check to the School District of Osceola County within five (5) working days after each container is emptied. - Each payment must be accompanied by a copy of the pick-up slip (showing date of pick-up and weight of scrapped material) and the AMM price page dated the day the materials were collected.

Checks must be made payable to the School District of Osceola County and sent to the attention of the Purchasing Department, along with the required documentation for each pick-up.
