Annual Restroom Improvements - Rebid

Background

The City of Jacksonville's Parks, Recreation & Community Services Division is issuing this solicitation for Annual Restroom Improvements. The goal of this contract is to enhance restroom facilities across various parks to ensure compliance with ADA standards and improve cleanliness and usability. This initiative aligns with the city's commitment to providing quality public services and facilities for its residents and visitors.

Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for the installation, replacement, moving, and/or reconfiguration of restroom partitions, toilets, sinks, urinals, drinking fountains, hand washing dispensers, toilet paper dispensers, paper towel dispensers, hand dryers, grab bars, changing stations, ventilation systems, lights, light switches, trash bins, doors, handles and other electrical work. Additionally, the contractor will perform painting, flooring, carpentry work as directed. All work must comply with City of Jacksonville Engineering Design Standards and Florida Building Code. The contractor must provide all labor, materials (including new restroom accessories), tools, and equipment necessary to complete the work in a professional manner. The work may also include design drawings and permits as required. The contractor is expected to mobilize within two weeks of receiving a purchase order and complete the work within sixty days unless otherwise agreed upon.

Period of Performance

The initial period of service will be for one year with three optional one-year renewals subject to mutual agreement between the supplier and the City of Jacksonville.

Place of Performance

Work will be performed at various parks within Jacksonville including but not limited to A. Philip Randolph Heritage Park, Blue Cypress Park, Crystal Springs Road Park, Lonnie C. Miller Regional Park, Tillie K. Fowler Regional Park as well as other locations specified by the City.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be certified as a Jacksonville Small Emerging Business (JSEB) at the time of bid opening. The JSEB prime contractor must perform at least 40% of the total amount of work with its own workforce. Bidders are required to have a current State of Florida General Contractor License along with plumbing and electrical licenses where applicable. They must also provide three references for similar public restroom renovation projects completed within the last two years.
