Ohio EPA District Offices Unarmed Security Guard Services

Background

The Ohio Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is conducting a sourcing event for FY27 to secure unarmed security guard services. The agency's mission is to protect the environment and public health in Ohio. This contract aims to maintain a safe and secure workplace across its district offices.

Work Details

The contract requires two unarmed security guards to be stationed at three locations: Northeast District Office in Twinsburg, Southeast District Office in Logan, and Northwest District Office in Bowling Green. Each guard will work 8 hours per day, with a maximum of 16 hours scheduled per day across both guards. The working hours are from 07:00 to 18:00, with overlapping shifts. The total maximum hours per week is 80, excluding State of Ohio recognized holidays (11). One guard will always be present in the reception area while the second guard will cover breaks and lunches and may be posted in the reception area or another designated location. Specific duties include: - Patrolling the building and grounds - Securing buildings - Locking and unlocking doors - Reporting safety hazards - Investigating security violations - Maintaining a daily log of activities - Visitor screening - Conducting searches of packages or persons - Providing customer service - Assisting in maintaining order - Completing reports - Using computer systems for communication and training - Monitoring via CCTV if required - Administering first aid when necessary - Participating in emergency drills.

Period of Performance

The contract period is set for FY27, beginning on June 15, 2026, and ending on July 1, 2026.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed at three locations: Northeast District Office (Twinsburg), Southeast District Office (Logan), and Northwest District Office (Bowling Green), Ohio.
