2026-2027 Sanitary Sewer Lateral Repair Program

Background

The City of Belleville is issuing a solicitation for the replacement of deficient sanitary sewer laterals on both private and public properties within its jurisdiction. This initiative aims to improve the city's sanitation infrastructure, ensuring compliance with local ordinances and enhancing public health.

Work Details

The contract involves the replacement of deficient sanitary sewer laterals. Specific tasks include assessing existing sewer lateral conditions, removing old or damaged laterals, and installing new sanitary sewer laterals in accordance with City of Belleville Ordinances. All work must comply with the Prevailing Wage Act, the Employment of Illinois Workers on Public Works Act, and Public Act 96-1064 - Business Enterprise Program. The successful bidder will also be required to execute a Project Labor Agreement with the Southwestern Illinois Building Trades Council.

The work is expected to commence upon contract award and must be completed in accordance with the timeline established by the City of Belleville, starting from July 16, 2026.

Bidder Requirements
