New Judge Orientation Room Block

Background

The Judicial Council of California, chaired by the Chief Justice of California, is the chief policy-making agency of the California judicial system. The Council aims to improve the administration of justice by surveying judicial business and recommending improvements to the courts. This solicitation seeks proposals from hotels for sleeping room blocks for the New Judge Orientation program, which will take place in San Francisco, California.

Work Details

The Judicial Council may award multiple contracts through this solicitation for sleeping rooms during specific dates: - September 12-17, 2027 - October 24-29, 2027 - November 14-19, 2027 - December 12-17, 2027 - January 23-28, 2028 - February 27-March 3, 2028 - March 19-24, 2028 - April 16-21, 2028 - May 14-19, 2028 - June 11-16, 2028. The contractor will furnish sleeping rooms at a budgeted unit rate of $240.00 per night. Payment will be made via U.S. Bank National Association Travel Payment Services Card (TPSC), which guarantees payment and eliminates the need for a credit application or purchase order. The contractor must not charge resort fees or other additional fees.

Period of Performance

The contract period is expected to begin with the first program date on September 12, 2027, and continue through June 16, 2028.

Place of Performance

The sleeping rooms will be provided in San Francisco Union Square and Lower Nob Hill.

Bidder Requirements

Proposals must include completion of the Darfur Contracting Act Certification and General Certifications Form. Bidders must also provide proof of good standing in California if they are a corporation or LLC. The contractor must not subcontract more than ten percent (10%) of the contract amount to any single subcontractor without written consent from the Judicial Council.
