Background
The New Hampshire Fish and Game Department (NHFG) is seeking bids for the installation and extraction of seasonal docks and extension piles at the Newfound Lake Public Boat Access Facility. The goal of this contract is to facilitate the seasonal deployment and retrieval of a floating dock system at Wellington State Park boat ramp in Bristol, NH, which accesses Newfound Lake. This project includes both autumn 2026 extraction and spring 2027 installation activities.
Work Details
The contractor will perform the following tasks: 1. Autumn 2026 Extraction: - Extract three (3) temporary steel extension piles, each approximately 16 feet long and weighing about 600 pounds. - Retrieve two wood-framed floating dock segments (8 feet wide by 22 feet long and 8 feet wide by 20 feet long, each weighing approximately 4,400 pounds) and a 30-foot aluminum gangway. - Provide necessary strapping or cabling for securing dock segments, gangway, and extension piles during retrieval. NHFG will provide a boat for support but no diver is required. 2. Spring 2027 Installation: - Install the three extension piles into permanent sleeve piles located at the water surface. - Deploy the dock segments and gangway back into position adjacent to the installed extension piles, ensuring proper alignment and securing them in place. - Work cooperatively with NHFG personnel throughout both extraction and installation processes.
Period of Performance
The contract work will take place during two periods: autumn extraction is scheduled for October 13 to 16, 2026, while spring installation is anticipated for April or early May 2027, subject to ice-out conditions on Newfound Lake.
Place of Performance
The work will be performed at Wellington State Park boat ramp in Bristol, NH, specifically at the Newfound Lake Public Boat Access Facility.
