Work Details

The contract involves various rehabilitation tasks including plumbing, carpentry, HVAC replacement, and door/window installations. Specific tasks include: 1. Replace non-functioning sump pumps in the basement with new submersible pumps. 2. Address deteriorating cast iron waste pipes by replacing them with PVC or cast-iron lines. 3. Frame and drywall a wall to enclose an exposed chimney flue in a bedroom closet. 4. Remove and replace a failing bathtub and shower unit, including plumbing adjustments. 5. Replace ten non-functioning wooden windows with vinyl replacements, ensuring proper sealing and installation. 6. Install new pre-hung metal entrance doors at the front and rear of the house, including necessary weatherproofing measures. 7. Replace a non-functioning sliding glass door in the dining room with a new insulated unit. 8. Install aluminum storm doors at both entrances of the home. 9. Construct new exterior steps with handrails for safety compliance. 10. Replace an outdated central air conditioning unit with a new system.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must have an active SAM registration and Unique Entity Identifier (UEI) upon bid submission, as well as compliance with EPA's Renovation, Repair, and Painting (RRP) Rule for pre-1978 structures. Contractors must be registered with the City of Moline as General or applicable Trade Contractors to obtain permits for work performed under this contract.
