Bluff City Cemetery Phase IV Roadway Improvements

Background

The City of Elgin, Illinois is issuing a contract for the Bluff City Cemetery Phase IV Roadway Improvements project. The goal of this project is to resurface various streets within the city with new Hot-Mix Asphalt (HMA) pavement and to complete related work as specified in the contract documents.

Work Details

The scope of work includes approximately 4,540 linear feet of roadway improvements, which encompasses: - 48 tons of Hot-Mix Asphalt Binder Course - 849 tons of Hot-Mix Asphalt Surface Course - 6,459 square feet of PCC Sidewalk - 1,096 square yards of Aggregate Base Course - 5,530 square yards of Landscape Restoration - Other miscellaneous items necessary for completion as per the Contract Plans and Specifications. The contractor is responsible for furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and other items required for the project.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed from July 1, 2026 until completion as specified in the contract documents.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at various streets within the City of Elgin, Illinois.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must submit a bid bond equal to at least five percent (5%) of the bid amount. The successful bidder must provide a Performance and Payment Bond equal to one hundred percent (100%) of the total contract price. Bidders are required to conform to labor standards set forth in the Contract Documents and pay prevailing wages. They must also provide certified payrolls for the duration of the project. Additionally, bidders must submit a list of qualified references for projects similar in size and scope.
