Background

The Virginia Department of Transportation (VDOT) is issuing this Invitation for Bids (IFB # 160991) to solicit bids from qualified firms for incidental concrete repair work. The contract aims to provide labor, traffic control, supervision, equipment, materials, and all necessary incidentals to complete the work on an on-call, as-needed basis for the Prince William Residency in the Northern Virginia District. Work Details

The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, traffic control, supervision, equipment, tools, parts, materials, and incidentals necessary for the demolition, excavation, repair, and installation of various concrete items. Specific tasks include: - Installation or repair of curb and gutters - Sidewalks - Paved ditches - Drop inlets - Handicap ramps - Concrete entrances - Medians - Aprons - Slopes - Headwalls - Barrier walls - Energy dissipators - Paved flumes and other miscellaneous concrete items. The contractor must also remove and dispose of all material and debris resulting from the work and perform backfilling and seeding of adjacent soils. All work must comply with the latest VDOT Road and Bridge Standards and specifications.

Period of Performance

The contract period is from July 16, 2026 through July 15, 2027. It may be renewable based on performance and mutual agreement.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed within Prince William County in the Northern Virginia District along existing VDOT Right of Way (ROW), including Primary and Secondary ROW routes.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must possess a Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR) Contractor’s license Class 'A'. Additionally, if not certified as a small business by the Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity (DSBSD), bidders must submit a Small Business Subcontracting Plan (SBSP) detailing portions of the contract that will be subcontracted to DSBSD-certified small businesses.
