Background

The Johnson County Sheriff Operations and New Century Adult Detention Center (NCADC) is seeking bids for the 2026 Glazing Replacement Project. The project aims to enhance the facilities by replacing storefront window systems and accessory components, which aligns with the agency's mission to maintain secure and functional environments for law enforcement and detention services.

Work Details

The work includes the removal and replacement of storefront window systems and accessory components at both the Sheriff Operations Building and the New Century Adult Detention Center. This encompasses all necessary materials, labor, equipment, supervision, and any other items required to complete the project. Bidders must provide a bid bond issued by a surety company licensed in Kansas for 5% of their total bid amount.

Period of Performance

The contract will be performed from the date of award until completion, with specific deadlines for questions on July 1, 2026, and for bid submission on July 9, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will be conducted at the Sheriff Operations Building located at 27745 W. 159th Street, New Century, Kansas 66031.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit on June 25, 2026. They are required to submit a bid bond with their proposal and must not withdraw their bid within sixty days of the bid opening. Additionally, bidders must certify that they are registered to conduct business in Kansas and provide proof of insurance as specified in the bidding documents.
