Cheboygan Area Schools Work Yard Enclosure

Background

The Cheboygan Area Schools Board of Education is seeking sealed bids for the construction of a work yard enclosure at Cheboygan Area High School, located at 801 W. Lincoln Avenue, Cheboygan, Michigan. The project aims to enhance the facilities of the existing auto shop and machine shop by providing a secure enclosed area.

Work Details

The project involves the installation of a 6-foot high chain link fence around the work yard. Specific requirements include: 1) Fencing to be made of 9 gauge x 2" chain link fabric in black; 2) Chain link fence posts and pipes to be HF20 round in black with dome post caps; 3) Installation of two 1/2 HP automatic slide gate operators, including electrical work to provide power from the nearest available panel; 4) A detailed description of the bid is defined in the Technical Specifications section, which includes site plans and elevations.

The contract work is expected to commence upon award and must be completed by June 29, 2026.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must submit a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any familial relationships with members of the Cheboygan Area Schools Board of Education or Superintendent. Additionally, an Affidavit of Compliance with the Iran Economic Sanctions Act must accompany all bids. A Bid Security amounting to 5% of the total bid must also be included in either a certified bank check or bid bond.
