Yale Public Schools, located in Yale, Michigan, is seeking to replace the football field lighting as part of their ongoing commitment to enhance athletic facilities for students and the community. The project aims to improve visibility and safety during evening games and events at the school.

Work Details

The scope of work includes the replacement of existing football field lighting with new fixtures that meet current standards for athletic lighting. Specific tasks include: 1. Removal of old lighting fixtures and poles. 2. Installation of new exterior athletic lighting fixtures as specified in Division 26 - Electrical, including: - Basic electrical requirements (260005) - Low-voltage electrical power conductors and cables (260519) - Grounding and bonding for electrical systems (260526) - Hangers and supports for electrical systems (260529) - Conduit for electrical systems (260533.13) - Boxes for electrical systems (260533.16) - Identification for electrical systems (260553) - Power system studies (260573) - Panelboards (262416) - Fuses (262813) 3. Ensure compliance with all local codes and regulations, including safety standards.

Period of Performance

The contract work is scheduled to commence on August 17, 2026, with substantial completion expected by Fall 2026. All buried underground utilities must be completed by October 16, 2026.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at Yale High School, located at 198 School Drive, Yale, Michigan 48097.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with the following requirements: - Must hold a state project registration as mandated by PA110 Prevailing Wage Act. - Bids must include a sworn statement disclosing any familial relationships with members of the Board of Education or Superintendent. - Bidders must not be listed on the U.S. Government Services Administration’s Excluded Parties List or be an Iran-linked business. - Successful bidders are required to provide performance and payment bonds equal to 100% of the contract sum.
