Background

Hudson Valley Community College (HVCC), founded in 1953, is the largest community college in upstate New York, offering degree and certificate programs across various fields. The college serves over 19,000 students and has more than 90,000 alumni. Located in Troy, New York, HVCC encompasses 110 acres with 24 buildings totaling approximately 1,600,000 square feet. The college aims to procure custodial supplies to maintain its facilities effectively.

Work Details

HVCC is seeking bids for custodial supplies based on provided specifications and an excel price list. Items will be ordered on an as-needed basis. Vendors must ensure that pricing remains competitive and lower than or equal to any co-operative or state contract pricing. All pricing should be quoted FOB destination. Specific products required include:

Multi-purpose Cleaner

Green Seal certified, for various cleaning applications; must meet environmental standards.

Floor Stripper

Non-ammoniated formula for stripping floors; must not require flood rinsing.

Neutral Disinfectant

Non-alkaline formula effective against various micro-organisms; must not dull floor finishes.

Non-Acid Disinfectant Washroom Cleaner

Effective against HIV virus type 1; EPA registered for commercial use.

Neutral Floor Cleaner

Low foam formula that does not dull finishes; Green Seal certified.

General Purpose/Cleaner Concentrate

Low foam soap for various cleaning applications without caustics.

Glass Cleaner

Non-streaking cleaner for glass and stainless steel surfaces; must meet environmental standards.

All Purpose Power Cleaner

Mild acidic cleaner for soap scum and hard water deposits; must meet environmental standards.

Spray Buff

For maintaining shine on finished floors.

Sanitizer/Mold Inhibitor

Hydrogen peroxide-based disinfectant with broad-spectrum activity.

Period of Performance

The contract will be effective for one year, beginning on September 1st, 2026, and ending on August 31st, 2027.

Place of Performance

The services will be performed at Hudson Valley Community College located in Troy, New York.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must submit samples and informational brochures for the products being bid along with MSDS sheets for required products. Products not conforming to the specifications will not be considered. The successful vendor must complete a Service and Supply Agreement and cannot enter into subcontracts without prior written consent from HVCC.
