EMS - Agility Testing

Background

The City of New Orleans, through its Office of Procurement, is seeking bids for Agility Testing services as part of its Emergency Medical Services. The goal of this contract is to ensure that candidates meet the physical demands required for various positions within the EMS department. This solicitation aims to enhance the operational readiness and safety of EMS personnel by implementing standardized testing protocols.

Work Details

The contractor will provide the following services: 1. Perform a validated assessment of physical demand requirements for each applicable position. 2. Create pre-employment and return-to-work/fit-for-duty physical ability tests, functional job descriptions, and job-specific testing protocols. 3. Conduct appropriate medical pre-screenings, monitor candidates throughout a test, and exclude anyone who cannot safely complete a test. 4. Provide required reports on services in a timely manner. 5. Accept all liability for services provided. 6. Ensure compliance with all legally mandated requirements such as ADA, ADEA, FMLA, Pregnancy Discrimination Act (PDA), OFCCP, Title VII, and EEOC. 7. Maintain appropriate internal QA/QI systems to guarantee testing process appropriateness and delivery. 8. Offer centralized billing and participate in the city’s online billing program.

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence upon award and will continue for a duration specified in the final agreement. Services are expected to be available throughout the continental United States.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed primarily in New Orleans, LA; however, the contractor must be able to provide services throughout the continental United States.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must comply with the City of New Orleans Code of Ordinances regarding living wage requirements for contracts valued at $25,000 or more. Additionally, bidders must adhere to DBE participation goals established by city ordinances and submit necessary compliance forms if contacted post-bid opening.
