Background

The State of Nevada Purchasing Division is seeking qualified vendors to provide Clinical Laboratory Testing Services statewide. This request for proposals (RFP) is issued to comply with statutory requirements through a competitive procurement process. The goal of this contract is to ensure timely and efficient clinical lab testing services for various state agencies, thereby supporting the overall mission of the State to provide necessary health services.

Work Details

Vendors must be fully accredited laboratories by national accreditation agencies. They are required to provide services including: CLIA certification, Director’s Laboratory License, and proof of criminal history/background checks for employees servicing using agencies. Vendors must also provide aggregated data on Turn-Around-Times (TAT) for routine and STAT testing monthly, as well as monthly quality improvement data. Specific staffing requirements include having dedicated phlebotomists available at specified times and locations, including Southern Nevada Adult Mental Health Services. Testing requirements stipulate that STAT results must be available within two hours, and normal reports must be provided within a twenty-four hour timeframe. Vendors will also supply clinical laboratory testing supplies at no additional cost to the agency.

Period of Performance

The contract term is expected to last four years with an option to renew for an additional two years, subject to Board of Examiners approval.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed throughout the State of Nevada, including various rural clinic locations such as Battle Mountain, Dayton, Lovelock, and others.

Bidder Requirements

Vendors must be registered at nevadaepro.com and hold an active entity registration in sam.gov. They must comply with mandatory minimum requirements including holding a state business license and providing proof of insurance as specified in the solicitation.
