This solicitation is for base year with 4 Option Years 07/01/2026 to 06/30/2031. These services will be performed as detailed within the Performance Work Statement. This solicitation is being issued as a Total Set-Aside for SDVOSB concerns. If award cannot be made, the solicitation will be cancelled and the requirement resolicited. Summary: Background The Department of Veterans Affairs is issuing this solicitation for Ice Machine Preventive Maintenance at the Colmery O'Neil VA Medical Center in Topeka, KS, and Junction City CBOC. The goal of the contract is to ensure continuous, reliable, and safe operation of ice machines through regular maintenance and compliance with manufacturer specifications and applicable regulations. This solicitation is a Total Set-Aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) concerns. Work Details The contractor will provide all labor, supervision, tools, equipment, materials, transportation, and expertise necessary for quarterly preventive maintenance (PM), cleaning, descaling, and sanitizing of ice machines. Key tasks include: 1. Performing quarterly PM on each unit per manufacturer instructions; 2. Conducting pre-service checks including visual inspection and operational assessment; 3. Cleaning and descaling using manufacturer-approved chemicals; 4. Sanitizing food-contact surfaces and water circuits; 5. Replacing water filters as needed; 6. Conducting post-service checks to verify operation and inspect for leaks; 7. Documenting service with PM stickers and reports; 8. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local codes including NEC, LSC, JC standards, OSHA requirements; 9. Providing fully qualified personnel with necessary certifications. Period of Performance Base year from July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027 with four option years extending to June 30, 2031. Bidder Requirements Bidders must be registered as a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Personnel performing maintenance must have EPA Section 608 refrigerant certification and preferably factory training/certification for specific ice machine brands (Follett, Manitowoc, Scotsman, Hoshizaki).
