Summary: Background The Grand Mesa, Uncompahgre & Gunnison (GMUG) National Forests are reconstructing the Terrytown Administrative Site to establish a reliable water system. This project involves the drilling of a new groundwater production well to meet both current and future water demands of the Administrative Site, ensuring that it meets acceptable yield and water quality standards. This solicitation is issued by the USDA Forest Service and is set aside for small business concerns. Work Details The contractor will be responsible for well drilling, casing installation, and hand pump installation as per the provided drawings and specifications. The project magnitude is estimated to be between $25,000 and $100,000. The work must comply with the applicable North American Industry Classification Standard Code 237110 – Water and Sewer Line and Related Structures Construction. Period of Performance The geographic location(s) the construction projects will be performed (if provided) Place of Performance Gunnison, Colorado; specifically at the Terrytown Administrative Site located at 1922 N. Highway 135, approximately 2 miles north of Gunnison. Bidder Requirements Bidders must be small business concerns as this acquisition is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Bidders are required to provide bid/payment/performance bonds as part of their proposal. A payment protection amounting to 100% of the contract price must be submitted within 10 days of contract award. Additionally, bidders must have a licensed well driller in the State of Colorado and provide proof of this license.
