Background The DLA Product Test Center requires a colorfastness washing tester to evaluate the durability and quality of textile materials used in Department of War applications. The objective of this procurement is to acquire the equipment and necessary consumables to maintain operational readiness for conducting washfastness testing, dry cleaning, and colorfastness to failing. The machine must be capable of performing tests in accordance with AATCC Test Method 61. Work Details The contractor shall provide the following products: 1. Launderometer, SDL Atlas, model: M228AA 2. 20 each x 550 ml Stainless Steel Containers (Part Number: 103829) 3. 20 each x 1200 ml Stainless Steel Containers (Part Number: 103855) 4. 20 each x Associated Seals (Neoprene PN: 103831 / PTFE PN: 103832) Specific requirements for the Launderometer include: - Dimensions: approx. 47”W x 26”D x 47”H - Digital display with divisions every 2° at minimum - Adjustable thermostat capable of reaching 90° C with +/- 2° C accuracy - Internal test chamber constructed of stainless steel with a rotor designed for holding both 550ml and 1200ml cylindrical specimen holders - Rotor speed: approx. 40 rpm’s - Electrical requirements: capable of running on 208V / 60Hz - Warranty period covering parts and technical support for one year, with guaranteed company support for a minimum of three years. - Pricing must include shipping/delivery. Period of Performance Delivery is required within 90 days from the date of award. Place of Performance The item shall be delivered to DLA Product Test Center, Attn: Edward Francoeur, 700 Robbins St., Bldg 5-D, Philadelphia, PA 19111. Bidder Requirements The equipment must be brand new, OEM-certified, and compliant with current AATCC and ISO colorfastness testing standards.
