LBNF Under Ground Concrete Work at SURF

Summary: Background Fermi Forward Discovery Group LLC (FFDG) is seeking proposals for the Long-Baseline Neutrino Facility Deep Underground Neutrino Experiment (LBNF/DUNE-US) Concrete Project. The project aims to support the construction work at the SURF Underground Chambers located in Lead, South Dakota, which is integral to the mission of advancing neutrino science. Work Details The construction tasks include: - Demolition work at the SURF Underground Chambers. - Installation of new concrete and rail systems. - Installation of a modified sheave beam. - Coordination with MEP contractors for all penetrations. - Provision of designated space for mixing concrete within 100 feet of water supply and within 1,000 feet of all work locations. - Delivery of materials to mixing or placement points by SDSTA Bull Gang, with any general-use forklift underground provided by the successful bidder. - Availability of water for mixing within 100 feet of the mixing location, along with drinking water provisions. Period of Performance The geographic location(s) the construction projects will be performed (if provided). Place of Performance Lead, South Dakota. Bidder Requirements Bidders must provide performance bonds as part of their proposal. They are also required to have appropriate contractor licensing and must coordinate with MEP contractors regarding penetrations.
