Summary: Background The National Park Service (NPS) requires the replacement and upgrades of aging oil-fired cast-iron hydronic boiler systems and their components in up to six government housing units located in King Salmon, a part of Katmai National Park & Preserve, Alaska. This project aims to modernize the heating systems to ensure efficient operation and compliance with current building codes. Work Details The contractor shall replace up to six existing heating systems as described for the following park-maintained residences in King Salmon: 1. **Residence 138** (3-Bedroom, 2,070 sq.ft.) - Existing Boiler: Weil McLain P-WGO-4, Gross Output: 151.0 Btu/hr (Base Bid) 2. **Duplex 136/137** (4-Bedrooms, 1,630 sq.ft.) - Existing Boiler: Weil McLain A/B-WGO-8, Gross Output: 274.0 Btu/hr (Option A) 3. **Residence 147** (3-Bedroom, 2,105 sq.ft.) - Existing Boiler: Weil McLain --- (Option B) 4. **Residence 149** (3-Bedroom, 2,035 sq.ft.) - Existing Boiler: Weil McLain P-WGO-4, Gross Output: 151.0 Btu/hr (Option C) 5. **Duplex 134/135** (4-Bedrooms, 2,900 sq.ft.) - Existing Boiler: Weil McLain A/B-WGO-8, Gross Output: 274.0 Btu/hr (Option D) 6. **Residence 148** (3-Bedroom, 1,970 sq.ft.) - Existing Boiler: Weil McLain --- (Option E) Project work includes: - Removal and disposal of existing boiler equipment and associated mechanical components - Installation of new oil-fired hydronic boiler systems - Installation of indirect domestic hot water systems - Installation of new pumps, manifolds, valves, and system accessories - Integration with existing hydronic heating distribution systems - System flushing, cleaning, and treatment - Startup, testing, and commissioning of each mechanical system Period of Performance The geographic location(s) the product will be delivered to or performed at.
