Architectural Design Services and Feasibility Study for the Domestic Violence Shelter

Background

The City of Irving is seeking qualified architectural firms to provide professional architectural and related services for the evaluation, planning, and potential design of a Non-Congregate Domestic Violence Shelter. The goal of this contract is to conduct a feasibility study to determine the best approach to meet the City’s service needs, which includes evaluating options for renovation versus new construction. Following the feasibility study, the City plans to negotiate a contract amendment for full architectural and engineering design services.

Work Details

The selected firm will perform a feasibility study (Phase 1) that includes: - Evaluation of service needs for a Non-Congregate Domestic Violence Shelter. - Assessment of renovation versus new construction options. Based on Phase 1 outcomes, the firm may be contracted for full architectural and engineering design services.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon award and will include an initial feasibility study phase followed by potential design phases as negotiated based on the study's findings.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed in Irving, Texas.
