Work Requested

The project involves comprehensive improvements to Lemanville Park as part of Phase 1. The scope of work includes: - Construction of a new regulation basketball court with acrylic surfacing and bleachers - Demolition of existing concrete flatwork, asphalt pavement, and drainage structures - Installation of a new asphalt parking lot with limestone base course - Construction of concrete sidewalks and a vehicular drive - Installation of three (3) new drop inlets and approximately 195 linear feet of 15-inch reinforced concrete pipe arch (RCPA) storm drain - Construction of a detention swale - ADA-compliant parking striping, signage, and parking barriers - Site restoration

Contract Requirements

All bids must comply with the Contract Documents available at the Ascension Parish Purchasing Department, 615 E. Worthey Street, Gonzales, LA 70737. Copies of specifications, bid documents, contract documents, and construction drawings are available for use in preparing bids and may be obtained from the Ascension Parish Government Purchasing Department at the above address. Documents can be mailed to bidders if a shipping account number is provided. No refunds will be issued for returned drawings.

Instructions on Submission

Sealed bids must be submitted to the Ascension Parish Government Purchasing Office, 615 E. Worthey Street, Gonzales, Louisiana 70737, by July 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. local time. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at that time. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on July 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. local time at the job site: 3131 LA-18, Donaldsonville, LA 70346. Attendance by a representative of each prospective prime contractor is required.
