Background

The City of Wichita, through the Wichita Airport Authority (WAA), is seeking proposals from qualified branding, marketing, and creative agencies to develop a comprehensive Brand Book. This initiative aims to establish and document the visual identity, messaging framework, brand voice, and creative standards for the WAA brand. The WAA operates two airports: Wichita Eisenhower National Airport (ICT) and Col. James Jabara Airport (AAO), which play significant roles in economic development and community engagement.

Work Details

The selected agency will provide all labor, expertise, research, creative development, strategy, and deliverables necessary to complete the WAA Brand Book. The scope of work includes: 1. Brand Discovery & Research: Conduct stakeholder interviews, review existing branding materials, assess current brand perception, analyze comparable organizations and industry trends. 2. Brand Strategy Development: Develop a strategic brand foundation including mission, vision, positioning statement, core values, audience personas, key messaging pillars. 3. Brand Voice & Tone Guidelines: Create communication standards including voice definition and tone guidelines for different audiences. 4. Visual Identity System: Develop or refine visual identity including logos, color palettes, and typography standards. 5. Brand Elements & Creative Assets: Define textures, patterns, and graphic motifs. 6. Brand Applications: Provide examples for practical application across digital platforms and promotional materials. 7. Final Brand Book: Produce a professionally designed Brand Book that includes an executive summary and implementation recommendations.

Period of Performance

The contract period is expected to begin upon award in August 2026 and will continue until the completion of the project as outlined in the proposal.

Place of Performance

The work will primarily be performed in Wichita, Kansas.

Bidder Requirements

Proposals must demonstrate experience in providing similar services and comply with all applicable laws. Firms must be registered with the Kansas Secretary of State before contract execution. Participation in the Small & Emerging Business Enterprise Program is encouraged.
