Vehicle Washing and Detailing Services

Background

Research Triangle Regional Public Transportation Authority d/b/a GoTriangle (GoTriangle) is a public transit agency serving Durham, Orange, and Wake counties in North Carolina. GoTriangle is seeking to establish a contract for the provision of Vehicle Washing and Detailing Services as authorized under the North Carolina General Statutes (N.C.G.S) § 160A-610. The awarded contract will be utilized on an as-needed basis with no guaranteed spending.

Work Details

The Contractor shall provide comprehensive vehicle washing and detailing services including: 1. Exterior Cleaning: - Exterior wash of all vehicles, including body surfaces. - Cleaning of rims and wheels. - Tire cleaning with application of tire shine. 2. Interior Cleaning: - General interior cleaning, including sweeping, mopping, and debris removal. - Blow-out of interiors to remove dust and particles from hard-to-reach areas. - Thorough wipe-down of all seating surfaces. - Cleaning and detailing of driver compartments. - Interior window cleaning. 3. Sanitization: - Disinfection of all high-touch surfaces such as handrails, seatbacks, door handles, and driver controls. 4. Glass Cleaning: - Cleaning of all interior and exterior windows to ensure visibility and presentation. 5. Operational Requirements: The Contractor must provide all labor, equipment, cleaning materials, and water necessary for the services while ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.

Period of Performance

The initial contract term is for two (2) years from the date of execution, with the option for GoTriangle to extend for up to three (3) additional one-year periods, totaling a maximum term of five (5) years.

Place of Performance

Services will be performed at GoTriangle facilities located at 4600 Emperor Blvd, Durham, NC 27703 for paratransit vehicles and 2501 Nelson Rd, Morrisville, NC 27560 for staff/support vehicles.

Bidder Requirements

Contractors must comply with safety regulations including OSHA standards and maintain a comprehensive Safety and Security Program. They must also provide proof of insurance as specified in Attachment C prior to beginning work. Additionally, contractors are required to have valid driver's licenses for personnel accessing GoTriangle property.
