The City of Raleigh (COR) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to develop and administer a Fire Captain promotional exam and virtual assessment center for the Raleigh Fire Department (RFD). This initiative aims to ensure a fair and effective selection process for the rank of Captain, which will be conducted twice annually. Work Details

The awarded contractor will be responsible for: 1. **Written Exam Development**: Design a 100-question exam based on provided materials, ensuring questions are referenced correctly with page numbers and sources. The exam must be prepared two weeks prior to the test date, with an expected candidate pool of up to 40 individuals. 2. **Virtual Assessment Center**: Develop and coordinate a virtual practical assessment center, including conducting an informational seminar for candidates, providing qualified assessors from outside North Carolina, and facilitating assessment exercises that evaluate tactical, leadership, and supervisory skills. The contractor must also score the assessments and provide documentation of results in an Excel spreadsheet. 3. **Defense of Appeals/Grievances**: Assist in defending any appeals or grievances related to the examination process.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon award and is expected to continue for the duration necessary to complete the exams and assessments twice per year as outlined in the RFP.

Place of Performance
