ADA Facilities Self Assessment Services

Background

The City of Centerville, located in Montgomery County, Ohio, is seeking proposals from qualified firms to conduct an ADA Facility and Parking Lot Self-Assessment. This initiative is based on the existing ADA Transition Plan and aims to ensure compliance with accessibility standards. The goal is to identify barriers to accessibility within city-owned properties and provide necessary documentation for the city's ADA Transition Plan.

Work Details

The selected consultant will perform comprehensive internal and external assessments of various City-owned facilities, which include: - Benham’s Grove Campus (Event Center, St. Benham’s House, Barn, Cottage, Garage)

City Hall

- Golf Club at Yankee Trace (Main Building and Maintenance Facility)

Public Works Facility

- Stubbs Park (Amphitheater and Park Barn)

Centerville License Bureau

- Cornerstone Park. The scope of work includes: - Project kickoff meeting for schedule confirmation and coordination. - Conducting ADA assessments in accordance with 2010 ADA and ABA standards. - Utilizing industry tools such as BlueDAG and GIS-based mapping for data collection. - Identifying barriers to accessibility, prioritizing them, and estimating associated costs. - Delivering assessment reports along with GIS files, PDFs, and Excel exports that support the ADA Transition Plan.

Period of Performance

The project is expected to commence following the notice to proceed on August 21, 2026, with a kickoff meeting scheduled for August 26, 2026. The proposals are due by July 2, 2026.

Place of Performance

The assessments will be conducted at various locations within the City of Centerville, Ohio.

Bidder Requirements

Firms submitting proposals must include an overview detailing their experience relevant to the project objectives. Proposals should also outline project staff qualifications including an organizational chart highlighting the Project Manager's role. A minimum of five references from similar projects completed within the last ten years is required. The proposal document should not exceed 15 pages without staff resumes.
