Daughtery Road and Green Slope Drive Intersection Improvements

Background

The City of Zephyrhills is issuing a contract for the Daughtery Road and Green Slope Drive Intersection Improvements project. This project aims to enhance the intersection by constructing a southbound right-turn lane and upgrading electrical pump systems, thereby improving traffic flow and safety at this city-owned collector roadway.

Work Details

The scope of work includes: 1. Construction of a southbound right-turn lane along the southbound approach at the intersection of Daughtery Road and Green Slope Drive, with a total length of widening, including taper and transition, of approximately 220 feet. 2. Electrical pump upgrades at the northwest corner of the intersection, which involves replacing and automating existing equipment as detailed in the construction plans prepared by Kimley-Horn dated March 2025. The work must comply with all specifications outlined in the Contract Documents.

Period of Performance

The contract will commence upon receipt of a Notice to Proceed from the City, with specific timelines for completion to be established during the pre-construction conference.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at the intersection of Daughtery Road and Green Slope Drive in Zephyrhills, Florida.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be registered with the City of Zephyrhills to submit a bid. A bid bond of at least 5% of the total bid price is required. Vendors must provide proof of insurance coverage as specified in the contract documents, including Comprehensive General Liability and Worker’s Compensation insurance. The Vendor is also responsible for ensuring that all subcontractors meet similar insurance requirements.
