Runway 5-23 Pavement Rehabilitation

Sealed bids are being accepted for the Runway 5-23 Pavement Rehabilitation project at the Chester Catawba Regional Airport. Bids must be submitted to the Chester Catawba Regional Airport Commission at their Conference Room located at 1854-A Piper Drive, Chester, South Carolina by 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 15, 2026. Bids will be publicly opened immediately after the submission deadline. Contractors are required to hold proper licenses as mandated by state laws for their respective trades. Bidding documents can be examined at the Airport's Conference Room and on various websites including Dodge Data & Analytics and Construct Connect. A complete set of bidding documents can be obtained from Richa Graphics by calling 704-331-9744 or visiting their office at 800 North College Street, Charlotte, North Carolina 28206. All bid documents, including any addendums, are non-refundable. It is important for bidders to be listed on the plan holders list maintained by Richa Graphics to receive any bid documents. Each bid must include a Bid Bond or a certified check made out to the County of Chester for 5% of the total base bid. Additionally, a performance bond and a labor and material payment bond are required. A pre-bid conference is scheduled for Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Airport's Conference Room. Bids cannot be withdrawn for 120 days following the bid submission deadline. The County of Chester retains the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any technical defects in bid submissions. Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes addressed to Mr. H. Lester Shugart, Chester Catawba Regional Airport Commission, and clearly marked with the project title and the Contractor's license number.
