Museum of Natural History Trail

The City of Anniston is seeking sealed bids for the labor, equipment, materials, and any incidentals necessary to complete the Museum of Natural History Trail project. This includes grading, storm drainage, stone work, and sidewalk construction. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 24th at 10 AM local time at the Longleaf Event Center, located at 920 Museum Drive, Anniston, AL. Bidders must comply with the Alabama Code Title 39 and the Alabama Public Works Law. All bids should be marked with the word 'BID' on the outside of the package, along with 'Bid Proposal for Museum of Natural History Trail', the bid date, and the Alabama General Contractor's License Number. Bids must be submitted using the provided bid forms. A cashier's check or bid bond, payable to the City of Anniston, for no less than five percent of the bid amount (up to a maximum of $10,000), must accompany the proposal. Performance and Payment Bonds, along with evidence of insurance as specified in the bid documents, will be required upon signing the contract. Sealed bids will be accepted at the City of Anniston, 1129 Noble St, Anniston, AL, 36201 until 10:00 AM Central Time on July 8, 2026, after which they will be publicly opened. The award will be made at the next regularly scheduled meeting of the City of Anniston. The bid package is available at the City of Anniston Engineering Department, and can be requested via email from Chris Jenkins at cjenkins@sain.com and Sean Russell at srussell@sain.com. Partial sets of bidding documents will not be available from the Engineer. The City of Anniston reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids or to waive any informality in the bidding process.
