Background

Tohopekaliga Water Authority (Toho) is an independent special district established under Chapter 189, Florida Statutes. The agency's mission is to provide safe and reliable water, wastewater, and reclaimed water services in Osceola County, Florida, and portions of Orange and Polk counties. This Invitation for Bids (IFB) is issued to solicit qualified construction firms experienced in rehabilitating existing lift stations as part of the East Lift Station Rehabilitations project.

Work Details

The project involves the rehabilitation of four lift stations: A. Lift Station 47: Replacement of pumps, base plates, pump rails, riser piping, electrical panels, water service, top slab, hatch with fall protection system; installation of 57 stone and filter fabric; recoating of the wet well; installation of new concrete for damaged driveway; raising the height of the existing wet well with a precast riser by approximately 1.5 feet; regrading the site to match new wet well height; removal of existing valve vault and replacement with above ground piping. B. Lift Station 63: Similar scope as Lift Station 47 but raising the wet well height by approximately six inches. C. Lift Station 67: Similar scope as Lift Station 47 but raising the wet well height by approximately two feet; installation of a new site fence and bypass pump. D. Lift Station 79: Similar scope as Lift Station 47 but without raising the wet well height.

Period of Performance

The contract period will commence upon execution of the contract and is expected to be completed within a specified timeframe outlined in the contract documents.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at various locations within Osceola County, Florida where the lift stations are situated.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be registered to do business in Florida and comply with all local, state, and federal regulations. They must not be on any convicted vendor list or discriminatory vendor list as per Florida Statutes. Bidders are required to certify their eligibility using forms provided in Section 00330: Bid Form Attachments. Additionally, bidders must utilize the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s E-Verify system for employment eligibility verification.
