Pickleball Court Improvements

Background

The City of Brady, located in the geographical center of Texas, is issuing this Invitation to Bid (ITB) for the construction of Pickleball Court Improvements at Richards Park. The project aims to develop four pickleball courts on an abandoned tennis court area, enhancing recreational facilities for the community.

Work Details

The work includes the complete construction and finishing of four (4) pickleball courts, which encompasses: - Site preparation - Excavation of existing soil to a minimum depth of seven (7) inches - Subgrade scarification and compaction - Installation of a sand leveling course - Vapor barrier installation - Concrete court slab construction - Concrete sidewalk installation - Application of acrylic sports surfacing - Court striping - Court surface testing - Net/post placement - Furnishing/delivery of pole-mounted court lighting equipment as specified in the plans.

Period of Performance

The contract work is expected to commence within fourteen (14) calendar days after the issuance of a Notice-to-Proceed. The completion timeline includes a 28-day curing period for the new concrete before any surface coating application.

Place of Performance

The work will be performed at Richards Park located at West 6th Street, Brady, Texas 76825.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must provide bid security in the form of a cashier's check or certified check amounting to no less than five percent (5%) of the total bid price. They must also demonstrate experience in constructing pickleball courts and provide references for similar projects. Additionally, all bidders must comply with local regulations regarding insurance and bonding requirements.
