JOB ORDER CONTRACT General Contractors

Background

The Trustees of the California State University are issuing this solicitation for Job Order Contracts (JOC) specifically for General Contractors at the California State University, Dominguez Hills campus. The goal of this contract is to provide a flexible and efficient means of obtaining construction services for various repair, alteration, modernization, maintenance, rehabilitation, demolition, and construction tasks related to infrastructure and real property. This initiative supports the university's mission to maintain and enhance its facilities.

Work Details

The contract scope includes a collection of detailed repair and construction tasks with established unit prices. The awarded contractor will be responsible for furnishing all management, documentation, labor, materials, and equipment necessary to perform the work. The individual JOC agreements will have a minimum total contract value of $0.00 and a maximum total contract value of $500,000.00, with the potential to extend up to $3,000,000.00 over a twelve-month period or until the maximum value is reached. The university will issue discrete fixed-price task orders as needed under this contract.

Period of Performance

The term of the contract will be twelve (12) months from the date of the Agreement Notice to Proceed or until the maximum contract value is achieved prior to completion.

Bidder Requirements

Bidders must be prequalified with the Trustees and possess a valid 'B' General Building Contractor license in California. They must also register with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) to bid on public works projects. A project-specific approval letter is required for bidding eligibility. Additionally, bidders must comply with prevailing wage rate laws and provide bid security in specified forms amounting to $25,000.
